Theatre and play with children in refugee camps

Along migration routes across Europe, children face extremely difficult living conditions for months or years. Yet even after reaching refugee camps or shelters, support remains focused almost entirely on basic survival: food, shelter, safety.

Fostering imagination through play

Children have a UN-protected right to play, rest, and creative expression. In displacement, these are among the first things left out, despite clear evidence that play builds resilience, fosters imagination and hope, and supports healthy development. Without safe, joyful spaces, children carry stress and trauma that shapes their wellbeing long after the crisis has passed.

Our main objectives
  • To strengthen children’s imagination, resilience, and emotional well-being
  • To reach the children who need it most, in the places where it matters most.
Through play and creativity, we help children build resilience and carry positive memories that are theirs to keep.
