We always try to be where it is the most needed. So when the news of the earthquake hit we decided we wanted to help. On the Syrian border in Turkey, many refugee children were already living in camps under harsh circumstances. Their situation was already disastrous before this disaster and they have now been hit twice. No question for us where to be. The situation calls for relief and asks for play.
Happy memories and resilience
We want to create happy memories for the children in these heartbreaking circumstances. So that later when they look back not see the misery, but remember how they laughed, danced, painted and played. Play and imagination are essential for resilience and development.
Turkey & Greece
We will be in Hatay, Turkey in April and May. Simultaneously we will also be working in Athens where the situation for kids is relentlessly bad and where minors often live on the streets. This means we have two teams in place to travel to the children who need it the most. To help them be more resilient in the times of crisis.
In the region Hatay in Turkey we will be working with the Syrian-Turkish organization ‘Kids Paradise’ that is already working in the field for seven years with displaced children from Syria. They work in different camps in the region to meet the basic needs and they currently have their hands full with providing emergency aid. That’s where we come in! We will visit several camps in the region to reach as many kids as we can.
In Athens we will be working for ten days with different partners in the region on different locations in and on the borders of the city. Al these partners contribute to the well-being of refugees in the city in their own way, we will be there to boost their work with some extra bubbles!
Will you help us play the day away?
Give how much you can spare; we need and use every single cent of it for laughter, theatre and lots of imagination! With only €25,00 you can make the project available for one child in need.
